Working at the magazine was a dynamic and creatively charged experience. It tapped into a deep conceptual side of me that I hadn’t realized was there and sparked a lasting love for typography. I contributed to various sections, from the front of the book to the back, and eventually moved on to designing features, special packages, and even helped develop a book.
One of my proudest accomplishments during that time was being the sole creator of our very first ESPN NFL Draft and Fantasy Football magazines. The fast-paced, collaborative environment pushed me to think strategically and visually in new ways.
My work earned recognition in prestigious publications, including the Society of Publication Designers Annual and the Type Director’s Club Annual, for standout feature designs such as “Sister in Arms,” “Happy Hooker,” and “Player Maker.”
